Or the quest is done entirely in the past, and there is one thing that doesn't get changed that leads into more quests in the future? I wasn't thinking that everything get changed as in an alternate universe. Maybe it's not 'vastly' different, but maybe things start to change around Runescape to some respect. If you go back in time and correct it, no one will remember what happened. I think the problem with having the Entire quest done in the past is that it creates the same problem that happened in meeting history with the trees.

(Unsure of this, but maybe you end up getting to fight him.) You get to pick the castle you want to fight in (although there will be battling outside, so maybe the city, also the castle could have something that you need to keep from zamorak?) ((major battle, a lot of fighters throughout the city) You have to go on a quest gathering a new weapon (elder artifact) either using guthix’s sword, or a new item. Unable to reverse the changes made by Zamorak you return to the present to learn things are much different than they previously were. Zamorak uses his knowledge of the past to beat saradomin in the battle of Lumbridge, effectively making him the stronger god. Followers of Zamorak have returned to the past to attempt to change major events by finding an artifact that allows them to do so. This quest would use a lot of story line, but here it goes.
